The A’Mara, a non space faring species from the planet Nyarri, are a very religious nation, and most of their actions in life are about their beliefs in the spirit Zinta. Who is believed to have settled their people hundred and thousands of years ago. Their goal in life is to achieve their ultimate destination, the afterlife.
Hairless pale green skinned humanoids. Reddish eyes. And a horn growing from the top of their head. It ultimately grown to the front and curls back to the back. The last phase only being present with the elders and the second phase only with adults.
The A’Mara’s religious beliefs are very import to them and as such religious leaders are treated with a lot of respect and therefore possess a lot of power. Though their power is not absolute. 100 years previously there was a civil war which ended with a limitation of the power of the religious leaders and led to a council made up 50% church leaders and 50% (secular) nobility and a secular leader known as the Master.
Partial theocratic republic. Council: 50% church and 50% nobility. The Master is the head of state. The current Master’s name is Altaw. The population: approx 50000.
The A’Mara are a very religious species and most of their actions in life are about their beliefs in the spirit Zinta. Who is believed to have settled their people hundred and thousands of years ago. Their goal in life is to achieve their ultimate destination, the afterlife. In order to achieve that they need to do a number of spiritual duty’s during their life. H’Vorta is the site where their spirit Zinta created life all those years ago. Once a year a group of elders perform the most secret ritual of a A’Mara’s life. The Modgur. The passing to the afterlife.
Do'Aresh: Leader of the H'Tesh, the ceremonial guards charged with protecting the religious elders. Over the centuries since the H'Tesh's founding, the guards gained more and more power not unlike the Praetorians of Ancient Rome on Earth. He will often speak his mind to those he is charged to protect as he believes they are focused on the spiritual and have left the physical concerns to him.
